Sea Reach (McCabe Residence)

Mantoloking, New Jersey, 2018 - 2020

The McCabe Residence is a modest 2300 square foot beach house designed to fit comfortably on a rather compact 70’ x 80’ flat sandy lot in Mantoloking, New Jersey. Located on the barrier island, this house is elevated to exceed current FEMA and township flood zone requirements. Four bedrooms on the upper floor and a large open kitchen / living area on the main level have been arranged to capture both ocean and bay views, as well as natural lighting and breezes from every direction. Exterior materials include eastern white cedar siding, black framed windows, Ipe decking, and copper roofing. This house was completed in the fall of 2020.
