Conlin Residences, Bay Head, New Jersey, 2013 - 2016

This project involved the lifting of two adjacent 100 year old classic Shingle Style beach houses that experienced substantial flooding from Hurricane Sandy. Even though the houses are located about one block in from the ocean, the client had wanted us to redesign them using V-Zone compliant structural systems and design criteria. The original houses were also lifted to comply with the current township and FEMA Base Flood Elevation requirements. The client was very specific that the redesign was to look as if the homes were originally designed that way, over 100 years ago.
